Deposits and Initiation Fees
All our Rent to Buy vehicles require a compulsory initiation fee.
The amount depends on the vehicle you choose from the vehicle list. Therefore, you can structure the agreement around your budget and affordability.
You pay the initiation fee together with your first month’s rental upon collection of your vehicle. This ensures that everything is finalised upfront, with no hidden surprises later.
Insurance Cover
All SA Motor Lease vehicles include super cover as part of the monthly rental.
In other words, you do not need to arrange separate cover for the vehicle. However, you must follow the terms and conditions of the policy at all times.
If an accident or claim occurs, excess amounts may apply. For this reason, we always encourage responsible driving and a full understanding of your agreement before vehicle collection.
Mileage Allocation
Rent to Buy vehicles do not include unlimited mileage.
Instead, each vehicle operates on a daily mileage allocation of 100kms. This structure helps keep monthly rentals affordable and fair for all clients.
If you drive more than average, you can speak to us upfront. That way, we can structure your agreement correctly from the beginning.
Maintenance and Servicing
We structure maintenance and servicing according to your agreement.
SA Motor Lease manages servicing intervals and vehicle licensing on your behalf. As a result, you avoid unnecessary administrative stress while keeping the vehicle compliant and roadworthy.
However, you remain responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle. If you notice an issue, report it promptly so we can assist.
Courtesy Vehicles
We assess courtesy vehicles on a case-by-case basis.
If your vehicle goes in for approved repairs or maintenance, we review the situation and assist where possible. Availability depends on the repair type and the terms of your agreement.
